Located in Studio West at the

PPCC SW Art Gallery is dedicated to preparing students for their careers as working artists while exposing them to the outstanding work of accomplished professionals in the field. We focus on bringing in artists and events that explore social issues, both within our community and around the globe, and plan these exhibits to coincide with the themes of college events and curriculum.
Still/Moving is a collaborative multi discipline project, incorporating Dance, Visual Arts, Music and Theatre. The overarching concept is that we are all having to be still in this moment, while also finding new ways to move forward. This is applicable in almost every aspect of the human experience right now and what better way to express this moment than in visual and performing arts.
Over the past Fall Semester, the Gallery and the Art Department have worked with students to incorporate the theme of Still/Moving into their artwork. This theme can be found throughout the Fall Art Student Exhibit and several other aspects of the visual arts elements of Still/Moving.
SW Art Gallery remains committed in continuing to facilitate and create opportunities for our students to participate in exhibits and art shows. Still/Moving is an example of how the power of collaboration and adaptation can create new opportunities for the creative experience.
